Workshop Description
You can never have too many totes - they're ideal for a summer outing, or for shopping or simply for an extra bit of home storage. In this workshop you will get to know a domestic sewing machine whilst you work on a project. You will learn to wind a bobbin, thread a machine, and become acquainted with its various functions such as tension, presser foot, reverse function and stitching options. You'll also learn to follow pattern instructions, cut out a basic pattern, stitch seams, finish seams to prevent fraying, box bag corners and attach straps. At the end of the session you will go home with a completed project. You will need to bring the following items: 1 metre of medium to heavyweight cotton (patterned or plain) 1 x Matching reel of thread
