Workshop Description

Have you inherited a sewing machine or recently bought a new one and need help getting started? Or maybe you are thinking of buying a machine and simply want to find out if sewing is your bag! Then, this beginner’s workshop is for you. Learn how to wind a bobbin, thread your machine, sew a straight seam and make a buttonhole. You’ll also learn different seam finishes used in dressmaking and get familiar with decorative and utility stitches. Duration: 2.5 hours Do I need to bring my own sewing machine? Beginners do not need to bring their own sewing machine to attend a workshop. Machines are available during the sessions to provide an opportunity for individuals to try out the craft before committing to buying a sewing machine of their own.
